BrewDog is the big dog of beer in Glasgow at the moment, with its ballsy branding, protesting products and prime pub position opposite the city’s most loved museum. It makes sense, then, that the big brewing dog would be looking for the next thing to get its teeth into and it’s turning its attention towards combining two things Glasgow loves dearly: booze and music.
Although it’s not exactly a new concept, this musical beerfest is one with a difference, as the beer will be as chilled as the punters and you needn’t worry about relying on an overpriced and undercooked burger to keep you going, as some of Scotland’s finest foodies, Scoop and So La Ti Dough will be there to fill your belly. BrewDog has even invited its brewing buddies along, so you can meet the makers of some of the finest craft beer in the country. You can then visit the American whiskey bar for a mouthful of malt, designed to complement your pint perfectly as you enjoy an eclectic evening of music, from brass and blues to punk and pop. How amazing does that sound?!
Beer Geek Brunch is this Saturday, 1st March at SWG3, from 12 noon until 2am. You can buy tickets here or I could just give you a pair for free! All you have to do to be in with a chance is follow me on Twitter and retweet this post, then I’ll pick the winning name out of an actual hat on Thursday around 7pm. Best of luck, beer geeks.
